Dear Friends,
There is a line from Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax that has always felt especially meaningful to our work at Joy & Justice:
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” - Dr. Seuss
We see the truth in that every day. Children who have experienced domestic violence need safety and support, but they also deserve the chance to be kids. They deserve birthday celebrations, new experiences, family adventures, and moments when they can simply laugh and have fun with the people who love them.
In our Joy Program, we help children and their protective parent create positive childhood experiences throughout the year, building memories that remind them that their future can hold more than what they have been through.
And we cannot do that work alone.
As we head into the end of the year giving season, we are setting a goal of raising $30,000 to help us continue providing these experiences to families in our community. We know that is a big goal, and we are incredibly grateful to once again have a generous private donor who will match the first $10,000 in donations made between November 1 and December 31. That means your gift can go even further.
There are several ways to give this season.
- You can give directly through our web site HERE! any time.
- Through Colorado Gives HERE! any time.
- You can mail a check! PO Box 102, Timnath, CO 80547
Important Dates:
November 1st- Early giving starts for Colorado Gives Day
December 1st- Giving Tuesday
December 8th- Colorado Gives Day
Thank you for continuing to believe in this work and in the children and families we serve. We are grateful to have you alongside us.
With gratitude,
The Joy & Justice Team
