Internal Auditor Sharine Daniel fired by NV GEBE

An internal memo circulated within NV GEBE has found its way on to social media. The memo in question was signed by GEBE's Temporary Manager, Mr. Mauricio Dembrook.

In the memo, management stated that Mrs. Sharine Daniel, as the head of the Internal Audit department, is no longer employed with NV GEBE since Wednesday, July 21, 2021.

The internal notice goes on to state that unless approval is given by Management, it is strictly prohibited for employees of GEBE to provide internal documents and/or information of NV GEBE to a third party, including employees that are no longer employed at the company. Employees requested to do so, are urged by Management in the internal notice to refrain from providing internal documents and/or information of NV GEBE to third parties.

Mr. Dembrook further elaborated in the memo that should Management become aware that internal documents and/or information of NV GEBE has been shared with any third party, including Mrs. Sharine Daniel after the end of her employment agreement, without permission of Management and outside of the scope of the job of an employee, disciplinary action will be taken against the employee or employees that shared internal documents and/or information.

This is a developing story and StMaartenNews.com will be bringing you more news as this story develops. We expect to hear an official statement about the situation at NV GEBE in the next Council of Minister's (COM) press briefing.
