Late August through early September is the time to plant cool season fall vegetables. Enjoy a fall garden filled with broccoli, cabbage, kale, lettuce, Brussel's sprouts, greens, spinach, turnip, carrot, radish, Swiss chard, and more. Plant now and harvest before winter arrives. When picking out your cool season seed and transplants, don't forget to stock up on fertilizer too. Cool season veggies produce best when well fertilized--the goal is to complete production before cold winter temperatures arrive.
