- Last night, in Baltimore, Maryland, the oldest Christopher Columbus statue in America was destroyed. It was 225 years old. It was carved 225 years ago by an artist as a tribute to the discovery of America. It stood that entire time without incident for people to see and contemplate.Antifa posted a video showing the destruction happening and taking responsibility saying Christopher Columbus ushered in capitalism and everything else that they disagree with in America.
I blame Democrats! I said it wouldn't stop at Confederate statues and have been saying it - This is what the Taliban does and what Isis does. That's today's Democratic Party.

On the flipside is a Citgo that was charging $14.99 for a case of water! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot and people were buying them because they had to, meanwhile in another area, someone bought out the store in water, put the cases outside saying free to anyone that needs them. Also, those offering help, no one is asking for person's political affiliation, their skin color nor ethnicity, just humans helping others. God is Good!
Mike Swope - I have maintained for many years one of the biggest and growing problems in American education is the number of educators who have been in school since they were four years old. A solution that would result in positive incremental change is for schools at all levels not to hire any teachers or administrators who do not have at least 3-5 years of successful FT experience in fields other than education after having earned a degree. This would go a long way toward restoring real-world perspectives that are sorely lacking in school buildings today.

++ President Trump pardoned former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio

ho was convicted of criminal contempt for ignoring a judge's order not to detain suspected undocumented immigrants. A judge ruled on July 31 that the Arpaio committed a crime by disobeying a court order to stop detaining suspected undocumented immigrants.
The American Civil Liberties Union said "Trump has chosen lawlessness over justice, division over unity, hurt over healing," and called the pardon "a presidential endorsement of racism." Arpaio served as sheriff for 24 years before losing his re-election bid last November. He was known for controversial policies - including jailing prisoners in a tent city and forcing detainees to wear pink underwear
"Throughout his time as Sheriff, Arpaio continued his life's work of protecting the public from the scourges of crime and illegal immigration," the White House said in a statement. NBC

Arpaio is best known for his approach to battling illegal immigration. In 2009 he claimed to have arrested 30,000 illegal immigrants since starting his efforts in 2005.

Can there be any doubt the intent of those sewing enmity and recriminations among fellow citizens with a different view? Is this not threatening to destroy our Nation and discredit American principles? This isn't what is good for the USA, and deserves no harbor.

Moore - twice stripped of his chief justice duties, including for refusing to remove a Ten Commandments monument in a state judiciary building - leads with 50.3 percent support compared with 32.2 percent for challenger Sen. Luther Strange, R-Ala. Strange was appointed to fill Sen. Session's term. Moore is running hard against Senate Majority Leader McConnell who has put in millions of dollars to stop Moore. The runoff is September 26.

With a dismal approval rating of 18 percent, he faces a Republican primary challenge from former state Sen. Kelli Ward. Ward leads Flake by 14 points in a recent poll. We buy all but #6. Teachers on average make about 50% more than the
families
whose children they teach. Sometimes two wage earners working 2,000 hours a year cannot match the pay of one teacher teaching 800 hours a year. Yes, some grade papers after class and do continuing education, but workers continue to study and learn too, without automatic income increases. Great teachers deserve merit pay bases on student progress. Lousy teachers need to find other work. We cannot risk another generation acheiving and learning less.

There is simply no question that both white nationalists and leftist "Antifa" protesters both engaged in unjustifiable violence that day.
(E)lected officials and members of our press are apparently tacitly advocating mob rule and vicious, primitive might-makes-right public discourse. The world should look at us and laugh for such crude and shocking behavior coming from the nominally elite and educated members of our political and media classes. Following the events in Ferguson, Missouri, Watson wrote a Facebook post on the issue of race in America that was "liked" on Facebook more than 850,000 times. The post received national attention. In 2015 Watson released a book, Under Our Skin: Getting Real About Race--And Getting Free From the Fears and Frustrations That Divide Us. On January 27, 2017, Watson was one of the speakers at the 2017 March for Life, an annual rally protesting abortion and Roe v. Wade, which was headlined by Vice President Mike Pence, said he did not vote for President Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton and does not belong to either party.
