Bilingual Home School Liaisons
Get to know our Bilingual Home School Liaisons.

Our Bilingual Home School Liaisons are assigned to our schools to facilitate communication between our Spanish speaking families and students and our school staff.

Their number one priority is fostering an ongoing partnership between the home and school. They are available for translation services, interpretation and can meet virtually if needed.

Some of the additional services these staff members provide are information on the School District of Beloit's programs, procedures, and school activities. They are an excellent resource for referring families to other support agencies in our community.

We are happy to welcome Edith Alarcon, Ariana Bruno, Lilia Lopez-Aquino, Cristal Peña, Crystal Silva, and Jennifer Silva to the School District of Beloit.
Grab and Go Meals: Feeding our Community of Children
Since mid-March, the School District of Beloit has provided breakfast and lunch to all children in our community from ages 1 to 18.

These nutritious meals always include fruits, vegetables, and protein. We provide these Grab and Go Meals at all our elementary schools and Beloit Memorial High School from 11 am to 1:30 pm on Mondays and Thursdays. Mondays always include meals for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays always include meals for Thursday through Sunday. For our families who are unable to come to our sites, we provide delivery service.

As of November 6, we have served 367,308,182 meals to children in our community.

That adds up to 22,974 gallons of milk; 150,278 apples; 22 pounds of broccoli per family; 11 pounds of breakfast cereal per child; and 29,869 fruit cup servings. Of course, this is only a tiny sampling of the healthy, nutritious food we are providing.

Principal Belinda McCarthy and the entire staff at Robinson Elementary thanked and recognized their custodial crew with a banner and treats!

These three individuals work hard every day to keep Robinson Elementary clean and safe for everyone.

“They are a special part of our Robinson Family. We are so grateful to have them in our building, and we appreciate their work. Our staff knows that they can ask this crew for anything, and it will get done,” shared McCarthy.
