Laguna Beach girls' tennis claims CIF title
The Laguna Beach High School girls' tennis team emerged victorious in a thrilling match against Calabasas on Friday (Nov. 10), capturing the CIF Southern Section Division 2 title. Their triumph marks their first CIF title in 18 years. The CIF Southern Section Division 2 title is the 12th for Laguna Beach's girls' tennis program but the first since 2005.
Board reviews final Facilities Master Plan update for December approval
The annual update for the Facilities Master Plan (FMP) has undergone significant changes since its initial presentation to the Board of Education on March 23, 2023. Multiple study sessions and open houses have been conducted to gather feedback and guide the scope of the updates. District staff presented the final update to the board for review on Thursday evening and will bring it forward for approval at the regularly scheduled meeting in December. The draft update includes a tentative project phasing plan based on available cash flow and the feedback received. This plan aims to provide both timing expectations for the projects and capitalize on potential state or federal grants that the district is eligible for.
Laguna Beach High School student-athletes sign letters of intent, commit to collegiate athletics
Eight Laguna Beach High School (LBHS) student-athletes participated in National Signing Day on Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 8), officially committing to an NCAA Division I or Division II school that has offered them a scholarship to play for a sports team.
