Board of Education holds study session to discuss project priorities in Ten-Year Facilities Master Plan

The Laguna Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) Board of Education held its fifth Facilities Master Plan (FMP) Study Session on Thursday evening, part of an ongoing process initiated in March 2023. The board reviewed proposed projects at each school site and provided feedback to staff, prioritizing key areas. This discussion will shape the upcoming annual update to the district's Ten-Year FMP, set to be presented to the board for approval in December.

Laguna Beach High School hosts 2023 College Round-Up with 90+ universities

Nearly 100 colleges and universities joined Laguna Beach High School students and families on Wednesday evening, providing students with an opportunity to meet college representatives and receive feedback on the application process for each school.

Ninety percent of the LBHS class of 2023 self-reported post-secondary plans via an annual LBHS Senior Survey. Of the 245 survey respondents, 94 percent of students expressed intent to continue their education in fall 2024 and 4 percent of students planned a gap year for 2023-24.

Four-year colleges & universities | 66%
Two-year colleges | 26%

An additional 2% of students expressed plans to enroll in trade schools, adult transition programs, or military academies.
