Over 1.9 million people in the US alone will receive a devastating, life-altering cancer diagnosis this year. In the last decade, research funding has advanced cancer treatments and provided new, innovative lifesaving treatment options beyond traditional methods like chemotherapy and radiation. Cancer’s cruelty knows no bounds, and researchers around the world heroically work to discover innovative cancer treatments that spare the patient harsh side effects of more traditional treatments.

So far in 2022, your support made groundbreaking cancer research in epithelial ovarian cancer, pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia, glioblastoma brain tumors, and CAR-T treatment possible. You will never know the countless lives your generosity has touched, and we are so grateful.

Until a cure is discovered, CARES remains dedicated to changing the future of cancer by funding advanced, innovative research that treats the cancer while sparing the patient. Because of you, we are Turning Cancer Upside Down™.
Step Up To The Challenge
Support our Steps to Stop Cancer Summer Challenge by donating to fund critical cancer research. Our participants have worked hard all month to meet their daily steps goal and honor the people in their lives impacted by cancer. People like our founder, Scott Hamilton!

"I step to stop cancer for countless friends and loved ones that have survived cancer. Thankfully, there are too many to count, but I celebrate their survivorship and anniversaries all the time. It is rewarding to be reminded when funding and science intersect that it does change lives forever and for the better. I think of Scott Hamilton, Jenny McClain, Jennie Butler, Stephanie Whitley, Deb McLaughlin, and Traci Sampson that survived various diagnoses and stages of cancer, all thanks to funding science."
