TIP FROM NIC

Now that the dog days of summer - aka hot, humid, sweltering - are upon us, don't forget that New Canaan offers reduced price Senior Citizen passes for Waveny Pool for all residents 62 years and up. The cost of a pass is $80 for the season. Not only does the pass allow access to the pool, but to Kiwanis Park as well. In case you haven't been to Kiwanis in a while, there have been a number of improvements there, including conveniently located restrooms, a snack bar, shaded picnic tables, and several large umbrellas on the beach.
Back to School Supplies
Staying Put is collecting colored markers, crayons, pencils, glue sticks, notebooks and kid-friendly scissors to support New Canaan's Department of Human Services' Back to School Backpack Project. Help a child in our town who is in need by picking up a few of these items and dropping them off at the Staying Put office by Fri., August 13.
