NEW!
Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI)
Imagine a world where girls and volunteers join Girl Scouts with ease, and the process of becoming a troop leader is completed in a few days instead of weeks. Volunteers and families can find answers and receive support easily, in ways that best fit their schedules and lives. More girls and volunteers return year after year to an organization they love.
Can you imagine it? We can, too, and we're ready to make it a reality!
That's why, together with Girl Scouts of the USA, we've introduced the Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI), an interactive and user-friendly new way to connect with Girl Scouts and support the girls in your life. From a faster and easier joining and renewal process, to improved resources for volunteers, the Customer Engagement Initiative is all about serving
you
better.
This exciting process will include a refreshed Girl Scout website, an all-new membership registration system and a ground breaking Volunteer Toolkit. Our new website, launching the week of March 21, will bring a fresh new look, consistent with the Girl Scout brand and aligned with other councils across the country. In addition to the resources you can count on, the site will now feature an enhanced searchable event list and month-by-month calendar, a searchable form library, and consistent program content supplied by GSUSA. The site will also feature a responsive design, which means you'll get a great experience whether you access if from your computer, tablet or smartphone.
Stay tuned! We will roll out new information regarding CEI in each of our monthly adult newsletters.

FEATURED STORY
Tri-Cities Volunteer Has Shown to Be An Asset to Our Girl Scout Community
Brooklyn Lewis, otherwise known as an overnighter aficionado, is an asset to the Girl Scout Community in the Tri-Cities, Washington. She has organized and executed a total of four overnighters for Daisies, Brownies, Cadettes and Juniors. All of her events overfilled with registrations and allowed for all participants to experience fun, friendship and memories that will last a lifetime.
Brooklyn's hard work, leadership skills and dedication have not gone unnoticed by those working with her.
Christine Brandstetter, multi-level troop leader and First Aid certified volunteer with Brownie Science Extravaganza commented, "Brooklyn spent countless hours preparing activities, planning meals, shopping for supplies, lining up volunteers, and making arrangements at the venue. There's a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes when planning these types of events."
We are proud to recognize Brookyln for her outstanding work making these Girl Scout overnighters possible. Brooklyn is the type of leader we are proud to have our girls look up to and learn from. Daisy troop leader, Shellie Feather remarked, "Brooklyn has a great way of mixing leadership styles depending on the situation. She was able to delegate tasks to the people who knew how to get the job done. Everything came together perfectly when the girls began to arrive." Brandstetter also praised her leadership style, "She is the kind of leader who will walk you through it, step-by-step, and then dive in at your side."
Through working with Brooklyn, we have learned that not only is she dedicated, but also exudes the qualities of being courageous, confident and full of character. Brandstetter confirmed, "Brooklyn works so hard and is always thinking about the minor details. She is a dedicated leader who is committed to the Girl Scout Community. It takes a lot of heart to lead and she has both the passion and talent for it."
Without Brooklyn's efforts, the grade-level overnight events would not have been as successful as they were. We thank her for all that she has done and continues to do for our organization and the girls that get to be a part of it.
If you know of a volunteer who deserves recognition, contact Kaley Eakin at
keakin@gsewni.org. We would be honored to feature them in an upcoming newsletter.
