Coffee Connections

In February we visited Mig's Pla-Mor Roller Rink for our Coffee Connection and we were treated to the most delicious chicken and waffles along with a variety of other treats.

As you can see, we had a great turn out! If you haven't been to a Coffee Connection lately, I'd like to encourage you come. You never know who you'll meet!

Our next Coffee Connection will be at Noble Academy. After the networking event, those that are interested will have the opportunity to read to the students and the Read to the Future Event. If you are interested in reading to the students, please sign up here:

Happy Hour

For our February Happy Hour, we visited Collision Bend Brewery.

In addition to enjoying the amazing adult beverages and scrumptious appetizers, we were treated to a tour of the brewing facility.

Collision Bend is open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday. They have a weekly Trivia night and have started a group called Hookers and Hops which teaches knitting and crochet.

They have also started to feature entertainment. If you haven't visited it yet, stop by. You won't be disappointed!

State of the City

On February 22, Mayor Kirsten Holzheimer Gail presented the State of the City Address. The Mayor divided her address into the six areas of focus in the City of Euclid Master Plan: Stay, Proper, Play, Connect, Engage and Preserve.

The "Stay" focus calls for preserving the characteristics of the community, stabilizing the housing market and addressing the desire of additional housing options.

The "Prosper" focus is centered on economic competitiveness and sustaining a multi-faceted economic base, growing entrepreneurship and attracting new business.

"Play" focuses on enhancing parks, retail centers and lakefront amenities, aimed at providing a high quality of life for residents.

"Connect" refers to improving transportation links within Euclid and the region through various transportation methods.

The "Engage" focus calls for fostering a shared sense of community pride, promoting community engagement and enhancing safety in the neighborhoods.

And finally, "Preserve" refers to protecting the city's environmentally sensitive areas and promoting green practices and sustainability initiatives.

Mayor Gail went into some detail in each of these areas. If you are interested in hearing more, you can register to attend the Breakfast with the Mayor at the Euclid Public Library on Tuesday, March 12. You can register for this event at the link below:
