Dear fellow homebrewers,
In July 2011, I started Stubby’s Texas Brewing Inc. with a 19,000-dollar investment, a hope and a prayer, and an extreme passion for homebrewing and craft beer. I visited homebrew stores all over the U.S. and knew that there was vast room for improvement in the industry. I set out to make the best homebrew store available, where I would personally like to shop. I think that we accomplished that. Much gratitude goes to you, the homebrewer. Thank you for believing in us and spending your hard earned dollars with us.
I have always worked hard at making sure that if you're going to do something, do it to the best of your ability. I have to say that for the last year or so, I don't feel like we have not been doing that. To our dismay, homebrewing has continued a downward spiral since it peaked shortly after the pandemic began. But I continued to hang on to homebrew because that is our roots. Believe me when I say this is a sad day for me, but unfortunately the homebrew business is not sustainable, and we will be closing our homebrew division, Texas Brewing Inc., effective June 1st, 2023.
In 2017, we started our commercial division, Pro Brew Supply, and now service breweries around the country with warehouses in three states. This business has continued to grow exponentially, and we feel like we can not only bring great products and service to commercial breweries, but we are also better suited to helping local homebrew stores. If you would like for your local store to carry some of our products that you have grown to love, please have them reach out for an account. We would love to assist in supplying them and supporting their businesses as a whole.
Please know that this decision was not made lightly, and I want to thank you so much for your support over the years.
