PPP PORTAL OPENS TODAY AT 10:30 A.M.
Supported by the Small Business Administration, Nav launched a digital  tool to instantly connect business owners with lenders that are taking SBA Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) applications   for funds available to small business owners under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).

The QuickConnect tool, which takes only a few minutes to complete, instantly and freely matches business owners to one of Nav’s PPP lending partners that are taking applications.
The SBA loan portal opens at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 27.
THE DIALOGUE
This feature is a question-and-answer session with a new Blount County Chamber member. So, here we go with our 155th installment visiting with Robert Mattocks, CEO of Infection Blasters (865) 380-3661, which helps restore the confidence in commerce from knowing that an area has been tested for microorganisms and to help with more efficient and better cleaning habits in the spaces that we encounter.

DESCRIBE YOUR BUSINESS:
By sanitizing and showing due care, businesses should be able to have less worry in consumer confidence and liabilities of workers filing unsafe conditions.

WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND?
We are stringent on following all of the rules set forth from OSHA, CDC and also have professional training and certification through the GBAC.

DESCRIBE YOUR CUSTOMERS:
We can handle everything from event spaces to restaurants to medical providers and public spaces. Everyone can benefit from what we do.

WHAT ENVIRONMENTS AFFECT YOUR BUSINESS?
Socially we can help people be more aware of better cleaning habits and procedures. Economically we hope to have an impact by creating and saving jobs and restoring more consumer confidence. Environmentally we make a big impact in helping with cleaner spaces and promote ways of cleaning that don’t negatively impact an area.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ABOUT THIS BUSINESS?
I enjoy the science behind what we do. I firmly believe in offering quality services and making it as affordable as possible. It will take all of us doing proper cleaning together and many adjustments to get our businesses back to where we were pre epidemic times. Knowing that what we are doing is actually helping people and businesses when entering the release from the Corona Virus Outbreak. Knowing that we can help create and save jobs . Save employers from liability issues and help restore commerce in our own way.
STEP UP AS WE STAY IN
The Maryville Downtown Association's Promotions Committee is working to promote Downtown businesses. Through a partnership with VisualVoice , the Promotions Committee launched a new "Step Up as we Stay In" campaign on its digital assets. This campaign features one Downtown business at a time, and highlights current promotions (store hours, curbside pickup, online sales, sales, etc.) of that business.

LEADING CHANGE
April 28 at 8:15 a.m.

Presented by Dale Carnegie
The world is changing at an unprecedented pace; nothing is static, certain, or predictable. Many business leaders are struggling to adjust to this new normal. We know that change is often uncomfortable; it can be awkward, distracting, even stressful sometimes. If business leaders are struggling to adapt and lead effectively, consider the trickle-down effect this will have on the company employees. That’s why organizations need leaders who embrace change themselves, and who have the right mindset, skills and capabilities to get others onboard with important change initiatives.

Presented by Dale Carnegie
Today’s environment is filled with setbacks and unexpected challenges. VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) is the new normal, and the impact of serious crises such as market shocks, governmental instability and pandemics can’t be ignored. For leaders who hope to accelerate performance and capitalize on change and uncertainty, creating a resilient organization that can successfully “bounce back” and grow from adverse experiences is critical. Few of us can change the environment in which we operate – but we can control how we prepare and respond to the events around us.
