As part of our commitment to plant one million trees by 2040, Council has designated September as Brampton Tree Month. Celebrate Brampton trees with us through scheduled events and initiatives – including a residential tree giveaway!

Brampton Animal Shelter is Full

Animal Services provides a vital service to our community by caring for stray animals in need. The shelter is currently at full capacity. Consider adopting or fostering an animal. If you are unable to help directly, spread the word and encourage others to adopt or foster.

Community Garba

You’re invited to dance the night away at the City of Brampton’s Community Garba! On September 22, at Gage Park, experience a night of traditional dance, music, and tastes of India. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or new to garba, all are welcome at this free event.

Saved By The Beep

September 28 is Ontario’s first ‘Test Your Smoke Alarm Day’. Last year, there were 133 fire fatalities in the province – the most in 20 years! Fire happens fast, so be prepared. Working smoke alarms save lives, cutting the risk of dying in a home fire in half.

Brampton Tough Run Returns! 

Are you ready for the challenge? On September 30, take part in a five km fun run with a variety of boot camp style obstacles and fitness challenges. All abilities are welcome and registration is required.
