Care Day at Status: Home

At our October 20 HomeAid Care Day at Status:Home (formerly Jerusalem House) volunteers from Northwest Exterminating, Brand Vaughan Lumber, and BOMA Georgia spent the day painting seven townhome apartments (plus carpet removal and more) that will provide affordable housing for Status: Home clients.

Status: Home is the oldest and largest provider of permanent housing, holistic support, and empowerment for Atlanta’s low-income and homeless individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS.

Calvary Children's Home

Nearly 40 JW Collection (top right, and photos, right) employees volunteered with HomeAid on October 13 at Calvary, completing several projects, including finishing building a fence, repairing a walkway, installing drywall and doors, building shelving units, painting, and spreading two truckloads of mulch.

On October 14, volunteers from The Northview Church (top left, and three photos below) finished the work. The group tackled landscaping tasks, cleaned and organized, made electrical fixes, painted the donation rooms, and reorganized the food pantry. 

Founded in 1966, Calvary Children’s Home is a home for children in the Metro Atlanta area who need to live apart from their families. Calvary provides a safe, stable, loving, Christian home for these children and strives to provide them with the very best skills, education, and values so that they may become responsible, productive members of society.

Thank you to everyone who made our 21st Annual Hope & Homes Golf Tournament, presented by Trailblazer Mortgage on October 16 at TPC Sugarloaf, such an amazing success. We are filled with gratitude for the longtime support of metro Atlanta's home building industry! Thanks for Giving!

Thanks to the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association Young Professionals Group for raising funds to purchase hygiene items for HomeAid CareKits throughout October via the Thanks for Giving Drive.

We had a great time at the October 12 Boards and Brews cornhole tournament (photo, right) where even more funds were raised with the goal of packing 500 CareKits for Project U First in November. More info coming next month. Thank you, YP Group!

2024 Annual Giving Program

Our Annual Giving Campaign provides the foundation of support to achieve our mission each year. We will kick off 2024 with several major construction projects in progress, and more in the planning phase. We’ll be gearing up for 15 community engagement activities including Care Days, packing and distributing CareKits, the Essentials Drive, and more. 2024 could be one of our most impactful years to date, but we’ll need your support to make it happen!
