IBERIA PARISH, La. -- Put on your ballet shoes! This year, Iberia Parish will dance with the sugarplums down on the bayou for Magic on Main Unwraps The Nutcracker during November and December.

Various Iberia Parish businesses will offer
Shop Berry Frozen deals throughout November and December to add to the great savings.
New Iberia's Historic Main Street will play host to Envision da Berry's "
Window Wonderland" from Nov. 28 - Dec. 31. Storefront windows will display festive holiday themed decor in the style of New York City department store windows like Bergdorf Goodman or Bloomingdale's. This year's decorative theme will coincide with "Magic on Main Unwraps The Nutcracker" featuring classic textures and subjects from the ballet.
Sounds of the Season, a free Christmas music concert by the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, will round out the first month of activities (Nov. 27).
December:
Travel to the Victorian Era when you tour the Joseph Jefferson Home decorated for the holidays at
Jefferson Island Rip Van Winkle Gardens (Nov. 28 - Jan. 7). Beginning Dec. 5,
Shadows-on-the-Teche will be celebrating in a similar fashion with "merry making" tours. The home will be decorated in 19th century holiday style and tours will focus on family celebrations of the time.
The Iberia Performing Arts League will perform its Christmas production, "

For the
New Iberia Downtown Business Association's Magic on Main Christmas Parade (Dec. 10), holiday goers can enjoy events throughout the day starting at 7 a.m., including the
Teche Area Farmers Market and Food Truck Festival, crafts vendors, Christmas music and performances at Bouligny Plaza, children's pajama contest, lighting of the community Christmas tree, the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce's
Very Berry Christmas Quest, and Shop Berry Frozen deals at participating merchants.
The Cajun French Music Association will celebrate with
Les Cadiens du Teche Christmas Party on Dec. 16.

Santa Sightings:
With an abundance of Christmas parades happening around Iberia Parish, the kiddos will have ample opportunities to see the jolly man. Santa Claus makes his first sightings on Dec. 3 in Delcambre at the
Seafood and Farmers Market,
Battle for da Paddle Gumbo Cookoff and lighted Christmas Boat Parade. On Dec. 4, the jolly man will follow the magical elf trail to the
Jeanerette Christmas Parade. The next weekend, he will guest star at
New Iberia Downtown Business Association's Magic on Main Christmas Parade
(Dec. 10) and the
Delcambre Main Street Christmas Parade (Dec. 11). Santa will make his last appearance at New Iberia City Park for
Community Christmas (
Dec. 18).
