It's Fall and that means

In this season, some people find comfort in getting close to something(s) or someone(s), and we want to stay close to you!

This year is A Sacred Passing's 10th year in existence and 5th year in Seattle!

In the past five years, we have cradled each opportunity to show up for the communities we are a part of and to shift the culture in spaces we were not (yet) part of.

Y'all - WE ARE OUT HERE DOIN IT.

We have transformed our 3-day deathcare journey into an 8-week expedition of self, care, life, and death. Steeped with knowledge from brilliant educators, labeled by students as truly transformative.

And then we continued to do more than we ever dreamed....

No One Dies Alone, the Listening Line, Suicide Suppers, A Place to Die, Death & Art Cafes, Une Bonne Mort, Blooming With Grief, Abortion Doula Courses, Grief & Care Under Capitalism, Medical Aid in Dying Care Courses, Shrouding & Body Washing, Movement for Grievers, and more...

We welcome our role in this world and hold how it will shift and change as our days move forward. Our role is to be here, share information, hold to our values, make space, and be of use in, with, by, and for the communities we are involved in.

We have been hunkering down and planning a sustainable 2024 with our Board and with our communities.

We want to keep dreaming with you!

To do it all, we need you to take some time and think about how you would like to continue to be in relation with A Sacred Passing.

We hope you'll want to recommit your relationship with us and celebrate our 10 year anniversary in the New Year!

Please complete this survey and tell us how you'd like to continue to be in the A Sacred Passing community

We are reorganizing all our email lists; completing this will also help us do that and get you the right information.

THANK YOU so much!

Please consider taking our training and volunteering for listening shifts.

A light look at life around death. Two funeral industry employees talk about all the things that you never wanted to hear about but will be thrilled that you know!"

In this episode, Nicole and Jeff,

'dive into unexpected territory with a State of the Market evaluation on the Puget Sound and corporate ownership.' What does that even mean?! Very bravely, Jeff shares with the public some of what's happening in Washington state with body care and small independent funeral homes.

***We are sharing it with a couple of caveats. The language in this particular episode isn't language we use as an org. The word Indgent is a word that when defined applies a story to the person who has died. A standard born in the idea of western white capitalism success. Other ways to say this are unclaimed bodies or bodies released to the state.
