October is Estate Planning Awareness Month!
Hi, and I hope you are doing well.

As October has arrived, it is time to celebrate "Estate Planning Awareness Month." I know "estate planning" may be a confusing concept, but it really means to look at your assets, family, their needs and your own needs. You put all of that together and you come up with a plan that works for your lifestyle...and for your budget.

After all, the Florida Probate process is so famous for its delays, costs, and aggravation, that it is highly encouraged to avoid it if you can! That is why right now is the best time to be aware of all that "Estate Planning" can do for you.

In creating something for you, we will use a combination of Wills, Trusts, Deeds and Beneficiary Designations. From complicated to simple, choose what is best for your current needs.

If you have questions, please feel free to schedule a call on our calendar.

Hope to hear from you soon! Enjoy Fall!

The Need for a Ladybird Deed
The Lady Bird deed is one of the best things in Florida. When used correctly, it achieves wonderful, probate-avoiding results.

On our blog, we discuss how Barbara can use a Lady Bird Deed to protect her property.

Did you marry without your spouse changing his/her will?
It's not uncommon for individuals to create wills before entering a marriage. So, what does that mean for the current spouse if it's not updated to include him/her and there is an untimely death?

In Florida, you may still qualify under the pretermitted spouse statute. Assuming there is not a prenuptial agreement, the spouse may still be eligible for the inheritance.

If you have questions about this statute or wonder if you qualify, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team!
Lori's Best Review Ever! (She is sort of proud)
"In my opinion, you went above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. What you did for us wasn't just give us peace of mind but it was life-changing. You have shown that there are still good people in this world and even thanking you till the end of my days wouldn't seem to be enough for what you have done. I will recommend you to everyone I know. Wowza! Thank you Mr. Joe.
