Welcome to the Fall Term
School is BACK in session! Its been a strange 17 months and while it looks like some of the strangeness continues (masks, variants), there are also lots of reasons to be excited about being back:
The Students Bring Energy! - take advantage by taking in a concert, football game or other campus event.
LIVE Classes are Starting - at least half of the sessions in the Forever Fit nutrition series will be offered in person at the TVUC.
Reconnect with Old Friends - take advantage of being together with your favorite work colleagues by grabbing lunch or taking a walk together on our beautiful campus.
Walktober is Coming Back! Our 31 day walking challenge will be back on October 1. It is a great opportunity to get moving more on your own or with a team. Registration opens on September 20 and details are on the Wellness Website..
Fall Wellness Activity and Flu Shot Season are Upon Us
Just like in the Fall of 2020, we have an adjusted requirement for Wellness Participants.
  1. Health Risk Assessment - REQUIRED
  2. Then at least two of the three other options: Biometric Screening, Tobacco Attestation, Primary Care Provider Attestation.


Faculty and staff are requested to bring their CWRU ID and come to any of our upcoming events.

Locations include the TVUC, HEC and Wolstein Research Building.
Improve Communication and Decrease Stress
Our popular Building Connection and Communication in the Midst of Stress series is back this fall. Offered over 8 weeks, participants will learn and practice communication techniques, like thoughtful response instead of immediate reaction, to build better relationships at work and home. Taught by popular instructor, Heidi Weiker, this series will help participants dial in communication skills each week.

Build Your Financial IQ this Fall

Improve your financial smarts this fall by participating in one of our two popular series, Financial Wellness 101 or 201. Though 101 is not a pre-requisite for taking the 201 class, the concepts are more basic while the 201 topics are more in depth. See the week by week class topics on the Wellness website.

Those struggling with motivation as they return to campus, are invited to join Positive Psychology expert and Executive Coach, Stella Grizont, in an eight-week series called, The Work Happiness Method™. Each week Stella will teach faculty and staff a new inner skill to help them not only cope with transition back, but to thrive moving forward.

Evening Yoga is Back this Fall

Take time on Monday evenings at 5:30 for the six-week Mindful Movement Yoga series. This series brings focus away from trying to achieve specific poses for specific lengths of time and toward mindfulness.

AHA Offers Wellness events this Fall
The American Heart Association works within the Cleveland community to offer programming and resources to improve heart health for all. One main focus of the Cleveland chapter is to improve maternal health.
Did you know?:
  • Black women living in Cleveland are two to three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications as compared to their white counterparts.
  • Among Black women, cardiomyopathy and other cardiovascular conditions are among the two leading underlying causes of maternal mortality.
