Persimmons Are Back!
Persimmons are sweet, versatile fruits full of vitamins, minerals, fiber and beneficial plant compounds. There are about 2,000 varieties of persimmons.
Persimmons are typically in season from September to December.
It can take a persimmon tree up to 7 years before it produces fruit and they can reach 70 feet tall.

The Mississippi State Fair opens on Wednesday, October 6th and runs through Sunday, October 17th.
