Stronger Together:

 Building a Resilient Future

Building Collective Momentum for a Resilient Future

What can we accomplish when we bring our ideas, experience, and communities together? This was the question on the minds of Lesly Melendez, Executive Director of Groundwork Lawrence, Heather McMann of Groundwork USA and Erin Carey of Groundwork Erie for a LinkedIn Live conversation, hosted by Jeremy Hoffman of Groundwork USA, about the power of collaboration. In Building Collective Momentum for a Resilient Future, these leaders shared lessons from two decades of partnership across the Groundwork Network, exploring how we can bridge differences, strengthen relationships, and turn local action into lasting, national impact. Their conversation is a great reminder that when we work together, we can create stronger, more resilient communities. Check out our video on Youtube!

What's Glowin' On?

How To Get Involved In Glow Gala!

Our annual Glow Gala is coming up on Thursday, November 19th, a special night to gather as a community, celebrate together, and shine a light on the incredible work happening in Lawrence around the environment, education, and creativity. Buy your tickets now and join us for the party of the year!

New in 2026 GWL proudly presents the Chet Sidell Legacy Award. The Award recognizes an individual who creates opportunities, supports others, and strengthens the Lawrence community through leadership, generosity, and mentorship. For this inaugural award we have the honor of presenting Bill Traynor founder and longtime Executive Director of LCW. As a valued friend and partner of GWL, Bill has collaborated with us on projects like the Reviviendo Initiative and has helped to create spaces where people can come together to build trust and see what's possible. Join us at Glow on November 19th as we celebrate the impact of Bill Traynor and our amazing community.
