It's Giving Tuesday!
Help us reach our goal
today!

We're at $82,500 of the
 $100,000 Matching Challenge Grant

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of FaithWorks, a generous donor has offered a $100,000 matching challenge grant for all new and increased donations. This means that for every dollar raised over last year’s amount, by an individual or parish, FaithWorks receives an extra dollar.

Doing a little more can make twice the difference.

Individual donors can make online donations at the FaithWorks website, faithworks.ca, and have your donation attributed to your parish if you follow the instructions on the website and include the parish name in the Comments Section. In this way your donation can be included in the parish total.

The following article from our ministry partner Couchiching Jubilee House, a shelter for at-risk women and their children, is an example of the work that your donation to FaithWorks supports.

Zoie makes happy Christmas memories

“The year before I went to Jubilee House was the worst year of my life. When everyone else was shopping for presents at Christmas I was barely scraping enough money together to get the bus to the food banks. I kept seeing all these happy people but all I felt was shame because I knew my kids wouldn't get any presents. On Christmas eve my kids and I were in a shelter. It was awful. All of my memories of holidays were bad ones but I wanted to change that for my kids, I just didn't know how.
When the shelter got me set-up with Jubilee House I was scared and I didn't trust anyone. Get to live in a house with a separate bedroom for my kids and all of this help? It seemed too good to be true. But it wasn’t.

The staff and volunteers made us feel like family and helped us with our move and helped me with my kids. I hadn't had anyone in my life give me a break in a really long time and it was just so amazing. The best part was that year we got to go to the Christmas party. There was turkey and music. We got to have a family photo done with Santa and it seems small but I couldn't remember the last time I had a picture taken with my kids. The kids got presents which I wasn't even expecting. It felt like the weight of the world was off my shoulders. Then volunteers brought us more gifts for Christmas Day. It felt like the beginning of making those happy memories with my family I always wanted.
Looking back I don't think I said thank you enough because it was all so overwhelming at the time. But I wouldn't be where I am today without Jubilee House and I'll never forget how they helped us. I definitely am very thankful.”
