Scholarships for AFS Study Abroad in Italy

AFS-USA is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping prevent future conflict through cultural exchange and understanding for more than 75 years. There are 2 new scholarships for Connecticut teens to study abroad in Italy next year!

As an exchange student in Italy, you will spend 10 months with a local host family, attend high school, and be totally immersed in Italian language and culture. You'll learn the ins and outs of Italian daily life and experience what it’s like to be an Italian teenager - all with the support of AFS Southern New England Chapter volunteers and the AFS Italy organization.

One or two CT teens can win up to $4000 through the local UNICO and the Albert & Louise D’Agosto study in Italy scholarships for this program!

AFS Italy Study Abroad 2023 program overview:

  • Recommended for: rising high school Juniors, Seniors or as a gap year for 2023 grads
  • Age required at start of program: 15yr 3mo - 17yr 9mo (Sept 2023)
  • Program dates: 9/9/2023 - 7/7/2024
