A Message From Charles Connor, Interim Head of School
Charles Connor,
Interim Head of School
Dear Sagemont Families,

As we approach our winter break, I would like to express my gratitude to the entire Sagemont family of students, parents and staff for the warm welcome and support that I have received since arriving at Sagemont. I have been extremely impressed by the supportive learning environment that has been established at both campuses along with the high degree of parental involvement and dedication from the instructional and administrative staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the outstanding student performances at the Hispanic Heritage Assembly, the College Fair,  the "Feed the Need" Program at the Lower School Campus and the Senior Market where I was treated to a wide variety of delicious food. I feel fortunate to be a part of such an outstanding school.

We have recently begun the process of developing a profile for the selection of the permanent Head of School with input from students, staff and parents. I will keep you informed as we continue this process in the upcoming year. We will also continue to recognize past and future accomplishments at Sagemont as we  celebrate our 20th anniversary.

Best wishes for a restful and enjoyable holiday season and a happy and healthy New Year.

Charles Connor
Interim Head of School
Fall 2016 Upper School Campus Sports Wrap-Up From Our Athletic Director, Eric Simmonds

It has been a very successful fall 2016 athletics season here at Sagemont!  We have had some incredible firsts by some of our teams and some very strong showings by several individual student-athletes. Our girls middle school volleyball and boys middle school flag football teams made some terrific strides this season. Sagemont's cross country team also showed some great improvement throughout the season.
For the first time, Sagemont carried a boys varsity flag football team this fall, and we are excited for their future. The Sagemont girls varsity volleyball team had their best year ever!  Sagemont volleyball won their first ever district championship, defeating Miami Country Day School in 4 sets!  Sagemont boys and girls varsity swimming and diving sent individuals to the FHSAA state swimming and diving meet for the 5th straight season. The Sagemont boys varsity golf team had the best season in the history of the Sagemont golf program.  The golfers won their second consecutive district championship and then topped that off by coming in 2nd at their regional meet to qualify for the FHSAA state golf tournament for the first time. We're looking forward to many of these same successes in soccer and basketball this winter!  Please follow all the details about Sagemont Athletics on our athletics facebook page, search for SagemontAthletics.
Lower School Campus Feed The Need Program, A Wonderful Success
On November 17th, Our Lower School Campus led by the PTO participated in the Feed The Need program. The program provided a unique opportunity for students to simulate an overseas "mission trip" experience by packing special food bags filled with rice, dried vegetables, soy and vitamins. The Champion Group, a reputable third party provider, supplied the students with properly packaged food provisions. The school met their goal of packing 10,000 meals that will now be transported to Haiti. The entire Sagemont Lower School Campus participated in the fundraising and packing program while learning about how they can make an important difference in the lives of people in need. The program was covered by WSVN7, CBS4, The Sun-Sentinel and Our City of Weston Magazine. A very special thank you goes to our title sponsor, Seminole Tribe of Florida and to our other generous corporate sponsors; Cleveland Clinic, Total Cranes, Pediatric Associates, Imexa Corp, Pediatric Dentistry of Weston and Pure Energy.
Sagemont Drama Club Performs Frankenstein

The Sagemont Drama Club presented their own version of Frankenstein in October. The play was extremely well received by the Cappies Award student reviewers. The Sagemont special effects team conjured up snow, fire, rain, wind and more taking full advantage of the Blackbox Theatre. The show was a terrifying delight for the senses. Congratulations to our performers who did an outstanding job!
Sagemont On-Campus 20th Anniversary Celebration
Story as seen in Our City of Weston Magazine
Congratulations to Sagemont for celebrating 20 years of academic, athletic and artistic excellence!  In celebration, all students and staff were given 20th anniversary commemorative t-shirts by our PTO's. In November, both campuses celebrated with on campus festivities. We are proud of our Sagemont family and how far we have come over the past 20 years.  Local media including Our City of Weston Magazine, The Sun-Sentinel and InWeston Magazine have all done stories on this milestone for The Sagemont School and the City of Weston.
