Greetings from Thailand
Dear Friends,

In our last newsletter we shared about our sense that God has been redirecting our church planting ministry to focus on spending more time with people who are seeking the Lord, discipling existing believers, and multiplying churches. However, this means not doing some other good things that we’ve been doing. In the past month, some things that have been in process for almost two years came together in a remarkable way.
First, we are excited to begin leading the Thai Peace Foundation (TPF), which has been a registered Thai foundation since 1998. It was established by the original members of the Converge Thailand team and their Thai partners. The TPF focuses on social, economic, and moral development of individuals and families in low-income communities. Interestingly, for the first 10 years that we were here we served as volunteers for the TPF, so it feels like in a way that we are coming full circle.

We believe it is a good fit for us with our vision of igniting a passion for the supremacy of Jesus Christ among the Thai people with an emphasis on the poor, who are among the least-reached and least-targeted of all demographics in Thailand.
Second, we are thankful to God that the goal of completing our work at Santisuk English Center-Silom (SCS) by the end of 2020 is now accomplished. Soon we will be turning over the reins to a new but experienced team. We are confident they will continue and build on all the work of so many people at SCS over the last five and a half years. We thank God for all of you who have prayed, served, and supported us in that part of our church planting ministry. If you are interested in serving with an evangelistic English ministry team here in the future please contact us for more information.
We look forward to sharing more about our vision, plans, and opportunities with the Thai Peace Foundation in upcoming newsletters and when we visit the US in 2021. We believe that there will be many exciting ways we can join hands with you to show the love of Jesus Christ to the people of Thailand through the work of the TPF. And we pray that through this work many Thai people will see the greatest and most important part of Christ’s love, his willing death on the cross, which takes away the sin of the world.

And we look forward to seeing who God raises up among you to help bring his love to the Thai people. Right now a partnership between Water of Life Church (Bangkok) and Rahab ministries is providing direct relief to women who work in the sex industry and their families affected by the Coronavirus (see our last newsletter).
