Family Day at the History Center

September 14 - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Bring the whole family to explore the History Center Museum and learn more about Blue Earth County’s past. Special activities include school crafts and an apple I-spy around the History Center. Free hands-on history fun for all ages.

Author Series – Geoff Herbach

September 14 - 1:00 - 2:00 pm

Author Geoff Herbach is a creative writing professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He’s received the Cybils Award for best YA Fiction, the Minnesota Book Award, and the Burr/Worzalla Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement. His books have been spotlighted by the Junior Library Guild, and have been listed among the year’s best by the American Library Association, the American Booksellers Association, the International Literacy Association, and Bank Street.

$10/adults, $5/children 5-17, Free for BECHS Members

Breakfast on the Farm hosted by Le Sueur and Blue Earth County Farm Bureaus

It is so close to having you out on the farm! They hope to see you in a week at the Jones farm in Lake Crystal for a free morning full of fun. This annual event draws people from rural and urban areas to explore farming and food production.

Library Story Time Resumes on October 12th

Storytime provides fun, educational stories to children while encouraging them to begin the habit of lifelong learning. Story time often includes hands-on activities for kids and the library is host to special guest readers.

Keep an eye out in your child's school information for the monthly themes. They are so fun and the kids really enjoy their time at the library.
