Los Angeles, March 18, 2022 – With our Centers nearing capacity of medium and large-sized dogs, LA Animal Services has partnered with Recipawcity so dog and animal lovers who adopt a new animal companion, starting today, will be eligible to receive a complimentary mug with an image of their new furry friend. To encourage pet adoptions, this special promotion is valid for new adoptions of dogs, cats, rabbits, and pocket pets from any of our six LA Animal Services Centers! View the many wonderful furry friends who are ready to be a part of your family and check out this video of some of our big dogs at play who are available for adoption!
“We are pleased to partner with Recipawcity who shares our mission in building great relationships with our animal loving community to ensure pets find new homes,” said Annette Ramirez, Interim General Manager for LA Animal Services. “This campaign adds a special incentive for animal lovers to adopt a furry friend while providing new pet families with a memorable way to celebrate the newest addition to their family.”
Dogs and cats adopted from LA Animal Services go home to their new families already spayed or neutered, licensed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Our bunny friends also join their new homes spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

LA Animal Services promotes and protects the health, safety, and welfare of animals and the people who love them, and is one of the largest municipal shelter systems in the United States. With six Centers across the City, LA Animal Services serves approximately 60,000 animals annually and responds to 20,000 emergency calls involving animals or people in danger. LA Animal Services is part of the Human Animal Support Services (HASS) international coalition, joining 38 municipal shelters and animal welfare organizations across the country to reimagine and transform the way shelters care for animals and their families, by offering access to resources to help keep families together; getting lost pets home quickly without having to enter the shelter system; providing food and medical assistance; and continuing to build on a strong adoption and foster program so pets find their permanent homes or are placed in foster care.
