National Chiropractic Awareness Month!

This October, the American Chiropractic Association is hosting National Chiropractic Health Month with the theme “Active and Adaptive,” helping people adapt and maintain musculoskeletal health and function in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. #ActiveAdaptive
PROPER ERGONOMICS

Poor ergonomics while working from home can lead to poor posture…and pain. Good posture helps keep bones and joints in alignment so that muscles are used correctly, decreasing the abnormal wearing of joint surfaces that could result in degenerative arthritis and joint pain. During National Chiropractic Health Month, chiropractors offer lifestyle advice to help you improve your posture and strengthen muscles and joints.
USE THESE TIPS:

¨ Avoid crossing and tucking your feet

¨ Keep both feet on the floor with your knees at a 90 degree angle

¨ Keep your computer screen/monitor at eye level

¨ Use a telephone headset
USE THESE TIPS:

¨ Take breaks throughout the day by unloading the dishwasher, putting in a load of laundry or going up/down the stairs

¨ Take a 10 minute yoga break

¨ Meditate before bed to ease any anxious thoughts

¨ Dance it out!

¨ Go on a walk during your lunch break
