Steven Crawford is the District Director for the Maricopa Center for Learning and Innovation, Maricopa Community Colleges in Arizona. Steven's role allows him to work with ten different campuses, all with unique approaches that align with MCC's mission to "ignite talent, transform lives, and enrich communities through teaching, learning, and service."


As a NISOD Liaison, Steven values the diversity of NISOD's benefits that offer "a salad bar of things to go to." He appreciates that the NISOD Excellence Awards provide an opportunity to recognize staff at the district level, noting that "we get to highlight individuals who - they spend their careers in some cases - doing something that most people don't think about but is critical."
