Dear Friend,
We kicked off October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a spirited and successful in-person Walk/Run/Yoga Fundraiser & Community Expo at Quarry Lakes on Saturday, September 24th.
We welcomed over 534 walkers, runners, and yoga participants, lunch sponsor Dutra Enterprises served over 700 barbecue lunches, and 36 expo exhibitors participated, representing nonprofits, small businesses, public safety and health services, and large businesses, too. The day was full of meaningful moments, including Elaine's Memorial Circle, and was successful, too, in terms of funds raised.
If you haven't yet contributed or wish to give again, our walk/run giving portal is still open or you may donate securely via PayPal. Either way, you donation will bring us closer to our $100,000 fundraising goal. We're currently at nearly $85,000 net raised and remember that this is for a worthy cause; the funds will sustain our Assistance Programs for months to come.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is shaping up to one of our busiest ever in terms of outreach activities and fundraisers. Check our calendar as well as our list of activities below.
Please join us during BCAM for one or more of our activities. If you have a fundraising or awareness-raising idea, we're all ears! Call (510) 790-1911 or email tinaf@hersbreastcancerfoundation.org.
With gratitude,
Tina
