THE 'BER MONTHS HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED

↪ Starting in September, Otsego County truly stops being subtle. We've got ↪ a fall itinerary built for maximum leaf-peeping efficiency, ↪ a cidery up for a national title (and yes, we need your vote), ↪ six festivals fighting for your weekends, and ↪ farm stands stacked with more squash than one car trunk should legally hold.

Scroll down. It's a lot. That's the point.

Let's go - these pumpkins/apples/cider donuts aren't going to eat themselves.

Fall In Coop, Mapped Out

September through November is our true power move - foliage, festivals, and a farm stand on every road. We built a fall itinerary so you don't have to choose between a corn maze and a covered bridge. It hits the county's best 'Ber-month stops: apple orchards, historic villages, ghost tours, and the kind of drive that makes you understand why people move here and never leave.

Print it, screenshot it, or just trust us and follow along. Either way, don't wait until the leaves are gone to figure out where you're going.

One Vote A Day Keeps Fly Creek #1

The Fly Creek Cider Mill has taken this title before, and we're not letting it go without a fight. Voting's open through Sept. 14, once a day — no purchase necessary, though a cider donut never hurts your odds.

Farm Fresh is our Motto

Fall is the season farm stands were made for. Think squash in every shape and color, pumpkins stacked by the cartload, fresh-pressed cider, mums, ornamental gourds, canning tomatoes, and the last sweet apples of the year. Hit the Cooperstown Farmers Market or the Oneonta Farmers Market, detour through a flower farm, or just pull over at whatever roadside stand catches your eye — Otsego County has them scattered across every back road. It is the kind of haul that fills the back of the car and makes the drive home feel like the best part of the day.
