Community Spotlight: Aurora Highlands

Aurora Highlands is the 4th most walkable neighborhood in Arlington with a walk score of 80. It is within walking distance of Pentagon City, Crystal City, the Metro, and DC Reagan Airport. Restaurants and shops are within an easy five-minute walk. Even thought it is home to Virginia Highlands park, it only has about 22% tree coverage according to a recent Green Infrastructure Center Study sponsored by the Arlington County Civic Federation. EcoAction Arlington was recently in the Aurora Highlands neighborhood spreading the good word about the Tree Canopy Equity Program.
