It’s finally race week! We are excited for Thru the Ville 5K this Saturday!

 

Below is everything you need to know to make your race day smooth and enjoyable. Please read carefully so you’re fully prepared for the event.

 

RACE DETAILS:

Location: L&N Stadium, University of Louisville

Start time: 9 a.m. ET.

 

PACKET PICKUP:

Pick up your race shirt and bib at one of the following times and locations:


Planet Fitness

3181 S. 2nd Street, Louisville, KY 40208

  • Thursday, Oct. 30 | 5 – 7 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 31 | 12 – 6 p.m.


L&N Stadium – Bronze Lot F (near the start line)

  • Saturday, Nov. 1 (Race Morning) | 8 – 8:45 a.m.


Need to exchange your shirt? Stop by the shirt exchange table after the race — exchanges will be available based on size availability.

 

RACE DAY REGISTRATION:

Friends or family still want to join you? They can register online until midnight on Sept. 12 by clicking HERE


Note: This race may sell out, so registration could close earlier if spots fill up.

 

START/FINISH LINE:

The start and finish line are located in the TARC bus lane in front of Bronze Lot F. Check out the L&N Stadium parking map HERE.

 

PARKING:

RESTROOMS:

Port-a-pots will be available at the start and finish areas.

 

WEATHER:

The current forecast for Saturday is Low 44°F / High 57°F. As always, Kentucky weather can surprise us! The race will take place rain or shine. Any weather-related updates will be shared via email and social media.

 

POST-RACE:

After you finish the Thru the Ville 5K, enjoy post-race refreshments — water, sports drinks, fruit, and granola bars.

 

AWARDS CEREMONY:

  • Begins at approximately 9:45 a.m. near the Finish Line
  • Awards for men’s, women’s, and non-binary overall winners
  • Awards for the top three finishers in each age group:
  • 14 & under, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, and 70+

 

Planet Fitness Mayorthon Race Series finishers who’ve completed all four races will also receive their Challenge Coin!

 

MEDICAL SUPPORT:

UofL Health Sports Medicine is the official medical provider for the Thru the Ville 5K. Medical team members will be stationed at the finish line if you need assistance.

 

SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

Our number one goal is to ensure all our race participants, staff and volunteers have a safe and

fun experience. Hand washing and sanitizing stations will be at the start/finish line; all port-a-pots will have hand sanitizers.
