Today is Michael Levin’s birthday
We remember Michael, a young lone soldier from Philadelphia, whose dream was profoundly simple: that every lone soldier in Israel would have a real home and a real community to lean on. He understood what it meant to serve far from family, the loneliness that can settle in, the moments that feel overwhelming, and the need for a place where you could walk in, breathe, and instantly feel you belonged.
That dream lives on every day at The Michael Levin Base, where lone soldiers and lone b'nei sherut are welcomed with warmth, love and the sense of being truly seen and supported, just as Michael always hoped they would be.
