Golf is as Popular as Ever

More Americans are playing golf than ever before, according to the National Golf Foundation. In 2024, the number of people hitting the course grew to 28 million. With 16% growth over the past five years, the game's popularity across the US is strong.

Meet PETER NATHAN

Peter is one of the City's Golf Operations Supervisor, and a PGA Golf Professional with over 34 years of experience in South Florida. Since joining the City two years ago, he's been instrumental in developing the Veteran's Golf Program at the Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club and is a proud PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) certified instructor. He oversees daily golf operations and supports both the Men's and Women's Leagues.

His favorite part of the job? Giving back to veterans through meaningful golf programs.

The PGA Jr. Golf League offers beginner and intermediate students a fun, friendly way to gain tournament experience on the course through two practices and six matches, with registration required via the PGA Jr. League portal.

Our beginner and intermediate programs welcome all skill levels to learn and grow through the U.S. Kids Player Pathway, building fundamentals and progressing toward PGA Jr. Golf League participation.

• Wear breathable clothing and a hat or visor.
• Use sunscreen and remember to reapply.
• Take shade breaks in covered areas when possible.

The 9-hole, 1,357-yard course provides breathtaking views of both the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean and has holes ranging from 64 to 227 yards in length.
