It’s Time for your Check Up!

We get reminded of this from our Health Care Professionals. Regular checkups are the key to good health. Has your Church conducted a checkup lately?

Maybe it is time to lead your church to review your past accomplishments and to make adjustments! Let us help you with a statistical trend report of your church as well as demographics of what is happening in your community. Give us a call.

Our Association of Churches is conducting a check up. We have two strategic planning meetings on March 28 and May 23 from 8 am until noon at our office. You are invited to participate! Here’s how you can help:

2019 Banquet

The 30th Anniversary church planting banquet for the New Work Foundation, will celebrate 30 years of lives being transformed through starting churches. Hear from churches and pastors from all three decades of church planting while raising significant financial resources to support planting more churches. Be challenged to join others in supporting the Foundation as it is " Resourcing New Churches for Healthy Beginnings.”

A wonderful catered meal is provided FREE as banquet guests enjoy a vibrant program of music and testimonies. Special guest will include Thomas Hammond, local officials and partners. Stone Mountain Missions will be doing a soft launch of the Campground Worship service on 3/3/2019 in Stone Mountain Park, and our official kick-off will be on 4/6/2019 at 4:00 pm, with a vision casting service followed by our first official service on 4/7/2019.

SMBA/GBC 2019 Disaster Relief Benefit Golf Tournament

When: Mon, May 20, 2019 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Entry Fee: $75 per person/$300 per team

Your gifts are tax deductible and 100% of your donation goes to support this work.

Our Disaster Relief Team will participate in a Beach Reach March 2-23 in Panama City in conjunction with Lifeway Christian Resources. The Disaster Relief Team is available to serve at your church for evangelistic events with advance notice, provided they are not involved in a “call out” for a disaster response. Teaming Up for the Gospel Internationally

Reach the Nations and others in the International Pastors Network are challenging SMBA churches to join in the support of working through ethnic pastors, who can communicate in foreign languages and understand foreign cultures. The SMBA sees ethnic pastors carrying the gospel back to Haiti, Mexico, Nepal, and other areas in the next 2 years. SMBA is aiming to host discussions and trainings in the fall of 2019 on how to connect with ethnic pastors for the efforts of spreading the gospel internationally.

Stone Mountain Roundtable: Meets every first Tuesday. The next meeting is March 5th, 12:15 pm at Wings and Burgers on Main St. for lunch, meet afterwards at First Stone Mountain.
Newton County Servant Leader's Meeting: Every Wednesday morning. 8 am at IHOP in Covington.
Church Planter Roundtable: Meets every first Thursday. The next meeting is Thursday, March 7th, 9-11 am at Church at the Grove.
Bi-vocational Roundtable: Meets Thursday, March 14th, 7 pm in Conyers at the SMBA office.
Dekalb County Ministers: Meets at Trinity in Ellenwood from 7-9 pm, contact Pastor Miller at [email protected] for date.
Third Thursday Roundtable: Next meeting is March 21st 8-10 am at the SMBA office.
Strategy Planning Meetings- March 28th and May 23rd at the SMBA office 8 am-noon.

International Pastors Roundtable: March 7th at 3857 Parklane Dr. Clarkston, GA 30021. Begins at 7 pm. Dennis Rivera, Lead State Missionary,Intercultural Church Planting and Missions Ministry to attend.
