Dear VTT Families,

Beginning Monday, September 14th, The Perfect Bite will begin the 2020-2021 hot lunch program. Ordering for the month of September begins now, and will close at 9am on Wednesday, September 9th. After this time, there will be no further ordering for the first session. Owing to the climate of uncertainty, the first ordering session of Sept 14-Oct 2 will be followed by one-month-long ordering sessions. 

As always, everything coming from our BCK-certified kitchens is made from scratch, and our commitment to providing nourishing and delicious food has not changed. We ask that families appreciate that the delivery of hot lunch during a pandemic is not without its challenges, and new health and safety protocols mean that we are operating with more complex processes and a smaller staff. Please read through the new policies and processes, and save this email for future reference.

Munch a Lunch, the online hot lunch ordering system, is ready to take your orders.

HOW TO REGISTER:

1) Go to: http://www.munchalunch.com/schools/VTT

2) Click the "Register Here" button. The system will guide you through the  registration process.

3) After adding your children, click the green "Order Lunch!" button to order

4)  Next time, just click the "Login Here" button to access your account.

5) If you already have a Munch a Lunch account from last year, go to www.munchalunch.com, login and update your child’s class. 

ORDERING DETAILS:

• Online ordering is NOW OPEN and will close on Wednesday, Sep 9th at 9am. Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate any ordering after this time.

The hot lunch program consists of two meat days and three dairy days and includes plant-based and gluten-free options.

Cancellations

The deadline for cancelling lunches is Wednesday at 9am for the following week. For example, to cancel for Monday September 21st, we would need to receive a cancellation email before 9am on Wednesday September 16th.

Please email [email protected] and cancelled items will be credited to your munch-a-lunch account. 

If you fail to send an email by 9am on Wednesday, you will not receive a credit. 

Cutlery

Due to Covid, we are no longer able to supply our stainless cutlery. Please send your child to school with their own set to use in class. Compostable sets are available for purchase in advance, when you place your child’s lunch order. Classrooms and the school will not have cutlery available for students so please ensure to plan accordingly.

Picking up lunches when your child is absent

If, due to unforeseen circumstances, your child will not be at school, you may pick up their lunch by prior arrangement. Please email  [email protected] before 8am. The lunch will be available for pick up between 11:15-12:15pm from our side gate at the VTT long driveway. We are very busy in the kitchen after 8am, and will not be checking emails after this time. 

If you do not email prior to this time, your child’s food will be delivered to their classroom and out of our control.
