The Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf is celebrating it's 25th year in operation. It's mission is to alleviate food insecurity in the Penfield community by providing nutritious food to those in need in a compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental manner.

We are now busier than ever, serving close to 175 Penfield individuals and families each week with perishable and non-perishable foods. Many of our shelves are very low on items.

We are encouraging individuals, families, clubs, teams and businesses to support our efforts. We have an easy program called Adopt-A-Shelf, where groups can select one shelf to help keep stocked, just once a quarter throughout the year.

If you would like more information on Adopting-A -Shelf or how you can support your neighbors, please email Please visit our Facebook page and website for more information. Items we are currently low on are:
Beef Stew
Canned Fruit (not pears)
Coffee (1# packages)
Hamburger Helper
Laundry Soap
Peanut Butter
