The Library Advisory Board is pleased to announce the addition of its newest member, Eric Sarrett.
The mission of the St. Johns County Library Advisory Board is to advise the Board of County Commissioners in establishing, operating, and maintaining a free public library system, which will provide organized access to meet the general public's educational, informational, recreational, and cultural needs.
Mr. Sarrett, the new At-Large representative, has been a North Florida resident for over 20 years. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, where he teaches occupational therapy. Sarrett recently completed his Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration. He has a vested interest in public policy and is a lifelong library and bookstore lover and supporter. He and his daughter patronize the Southeast Branch Library of SJCPLS.
The Library Advisory Board meets at 9 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at various library branches. The meetings are open to the public and serve as intermediaries between citizens, the Library, and the Commissioners.
