REMEMBERING JUSTICE RUTH BADER GINSBURG, CHAMPION OF EQUALITY
We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG). Today, we’d like to take a moment to honor and remember her life and work as a true leader, icon and fighter for equality.

As the second woman appointed to the Supreme Court, Justice Ginsburg became an advocate and pioneer for women’s rights. She was a litigator, Director of the Women’s Rights Project of the American Civil Liberties Union during the 1970s and her early legal triumphs helped an all-male Supreme Court recognize the constitutional barrier against discrimination on the basis of sex.
Here are just a few of the things RBG accomplished for women’s rights:

  • The right to sign a mortgage without a man
  • The right to have a bank account without a male co-signer
  • The right to have a job without being discriminated based on gender
  • The right for to be pregnant/have kids and work
  • The right to access health care, including birth control
May her legacy live on
and continue to inspire us
to work tirelessly for equal rights for all.
