IT'S TIME TO HERD SOME SHEEP!

Capt. Chase Norwood and his crew came back to the docks with SHEEPSHEAD. It's a little early in the year to be seeing them so we expect them to be coming in thick within the next few weeks!

Over the weekend we had the pleasure of hosting The Florida Redfish Series tournament. The mission of the Florida Redfish Series is to promote conservation, competitive camaraderie, and education of future generations with the inclusion of junior anglers. Nick reeled in a nice sheepshead during his trip with Capt. Chase Norwood and crew.

Nick Allen is holding up the redfish that helped him and his girlfriend, Tori, bring home first place in the The Florida Redfish Series tournament.

Team Boater's Exchange, Carlos Garcia & Richard Hulett, caught this 9lb redfish that was too big for the tournament scales. They safely released the fish to live another day.

1st Place $1500: Team Allen, Tori & Nick Allen – 14.25lbs

3rd Place $700: Team Saltwater Connection Charter, Josh Carlton & Shawn Weathersby – 9.79lbs

5th Place $300: Team Reel Addiction, Stratos Coody & William Bever – 9.03lbs

Angler Rewards 3rd Place $300: Team I Sea Red, John Hinsey & Terry Hodges – 3.92lbs

Team Yamaha, Chris Cenci & Phillip Speligene, weighed-in some nice fish.

Team Connect the Dots, Doug Tran & Kaleb Domingue, caught a couple redfish to weigh-in.

We experienced some major low tides this weekend! Unfortunately we had a few anglers get stuck on the bottom. Sea Hag team member, Kevin Harden, and his crew helped pull out boats with the airboat.

Team Boater's Exchange, Carlos Garcia & Richard Hulett, managed to bring in one redfish to weigh-in.

Mike Brown and his crew had the best time filling the icebox with black seabass, Florida snapper and sheepshead with Capt. Chase Norwood.

Capt. Scott Peters took this group out on his 20th anniversary of being a guide! We have been grateful to have Capt. Scott with us all these years.

We are asking for prayers for a dear friend, Renee Rayborn! She has battled cancer on and off for years and has recently been diagnosed again. Mrs. Renee runs the Steinhatchee Ace Hardware and has always offer us here at Sea Hag, a helping hand and a kind word.

Please keep her and her family in your prayer. We serve a gracious God!

The Salty Gators Fishing Club moved their tournament to March 19th 2022! Always a fun time full of raffles, fish & good times. Mark your calendars!
