GNJMA Safety & Risk Committee Inaugural Meeting Held
The first committee meeting was held Friday, April 9th. The group reviewed the mission of the committee and selected a committee Chair, Scott Clark of Trans-Bridge Lines. The group discussed current safety & risk control challenges, hot topics and best practices. This created a list of developing topics to share with all members. While all GNJMA committee meetings are held quarterly, the group decided to meet again in May, since it is new, and they are setting the initial projects. GNJMA has six active committees: Finance, Legislative, Meetings & Marketing, Membership & Bylaws, Safety & Risk, and Scholarship.

New Security Laws, Grant Funding and Advocacy Highlighted in April Webinars Held
GNJMA hosted two webinars earlier this week. On Monday, April 12, we hosted New Security Laws Affecting Our Industry and Grant Funding facilitated by Colonel Mike Licata of CAT Eyes and Katelyn Sanchez of Grantabilities. On Tuesday, April 13, we hosted The Importance of Advocacy, facilitated by Sean Hughes, Director of Corporate Affairs of GNJMA member Coach USA, Trisha Fridrich, Principal of GNJMA Platinum Sponsor The L&W Team.
