Wind Creek Initiatives To Help Ease Financial Pressures on Employees

Wind Creek Hospitality is to roll-out multiple efforts in recognition of what the casino operator calls “the added pressures employees are experiencing” due to spiralling inflation driving up the cost of groceries and gasoline.
Under the first stage of these efforts a one-time cash stipend is to be awarded to all Wind Creek employees, supported by the Tribal Council of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, the parent of WCH.

Greyhound CEO Who Began as Baggage Handler
Exits After 36 Years

Greyhound Lines Chief Executive Officer Dave Leach is to leave the iconic long-distance bus operator he joined as a baggage handler in 1986 following its takeover by Germany’s FlixBus.
Leach, CEO since 2007, will stand down from the post while remaining as a strategic adviser until he retires at the end of the year, Flix SE said in a statement announcing the reorganization of its North American business.
The newly appointed CEO is Kadir “Kai” Boysan, former CEO of Kâmil Koç Buses Inc. Boysan has worked with Flix since the company acquired Kamil Koç in 2019, bringing valuable experience from leading the brand’s operations in Türkiye (formerly Turkey). Read more...

Peter Pan Bus Lines’ Peter and Melissa Picknelly are proud to announce their son Peter Picknelly IV, has been promoted to Director of Safety & Security. While in high school and college, Peter IV has worked in both Operations and Customer Service.
Peter Picknelly IV recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western New England University with a degree in Business Management. The fourth generation takes the wheel and rolls into a bright green future, as Peter IV joins his sister, Lauryn Picknelly-DuBois who was recently named Controller for Peter Pan Bus Lines.

A virtual presentation on Driving During a Demonstration, Criminal Act or Other Unsafe Event- A Training Guide For Your Drivers was held July 19th, facilitated by Bob Crescenzo, Vice President of Loss Control at Lancer Insurance . Bob reviewed best practices when a driver is confronted with a serious driving challenge due to criminal activity, political demonstrations and/or other event such as a bus fire, unruly passengers or police activity outside of the bus. The goal was to provide your drivers with tools to assess and manage these challenging situations. Thank you to Bob and Lancer for always supporting our members.

We are starting a new tradition at the 19th hole this year.
Our Toast to Tommy will give honor to our friend and a founding member, Tom Dugan. Tom passed earlier this year in an untimely and tragic fall. We miss him dearly. We will update you on other plans to honor Tom at our upcoming Annual Meeting.
