At the PBA Marketplace Networking Reception, John Bailey, PBA Chair presented Amy Brooks, Susquehanna Trailways, a gift certificate to her favorite Italian restaurant and flowers as a thank you for chairing the Marketplace Committee for 10+ years! Alison Sherman (Klein Transportation) will assume the chair position next year. The 2023 Marketplace will be in Morgantown! 

Fullington Trailways Stopping Routes That Connect Lehigh Valley With New York, Philadelphia

Fullington Trailways, which provides bus service in the Lehigh Valley and elsewhere in Pennsylvania, is stopping several routes, including those with stops in Allentown and Easton, beginning Friday.


The routes connect the region and communities to the north, such as Lehighton, Tamaqua, Hazleton and Bath with New York City and Philadelphia.

 

In a “schedule bulletin” on Fullington’s website, Fullington President and CEO Jonathan Berzas said PennDOT reduced service levels throughout the state, with some runs completely discontinued. Read more...

National Comedy Center To Open New Multi-Media Carl Reiner Exhibit

As the world remembered the late comedy legend Carl Reiner on his 100th birthday, March 20, the National Comedy Center, the United States’ official cultural institution dedicated to the art form of comedy, and the home of Reiner’s career archive -- continues digitizing and preserving rare documents, scripts and artifacts spanning Reiner’s extraordinary career in preparation for its new, multi-media exhibit: Carl Reiner: Keep Laughing, debuting on July 1, 2022. The 2023 Annual Meeting will be in Jamestown and we will have an event at the National Comedy Center! Read the press release.

PBA Operators Send Letter to Congressmen

Read a letter sent to Congressman Boyle, Congressmen Evans, Congressmen Kelly, and Congressman Smucker, by 23 PBA motorcoach operators across the commonwealth of Pennsylvania regarding an urgent tax matter, an oversight related to the taxability of grants provided under the Coronavirus Economic Relief for Transportation Services Act or CERTS Act in the first available legislative vehicle.
