Accidental Fire at Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn Causes Millions in Damage

The fire broke out just before 11:50 AM on January 10th at PBA Member Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn, according to police. First responders arrived to heavy fire and smoke conditions. Hershey Farm owner Clair Zeager said an employee was working on the business’s roof when the glue he was using caught fire. The fire then spread to the gift shop and offices.


Investigators determined that the fire was accidental. The flames caused a multi-million dollar loss to the building and its contents. Read more...

Meet Wind Creek Bethlehem's New Bus Marketing Associate

A veteran in the hospitality industry, Stephanie Barczynski has worked at PBA member, Wind Creek, Bethlehem for a total of 5 years—boasting a combined experience in Marketing, Motorcoach operation, and Guest Services. In her current role, Stephanie is responsible for coordinating day and overnight trips with motorcoach operators in the Northeast. She has witnessed firsthand the area’s transition into a robust destination—and is eager to facilitate travel for both first-time and repeat visitors alike.

Driver & Employee of Distinction Awards Nomination Period is Open - Deadline to Nominate is January 31, 2023

The PBA Driver & Employee of Distinction Awards was developed to honor members' drivers and employees who have demonstrated an exceptional performance record and service to their employer.


NEW! We are inviting our Travel Supplier and Associate Members the opportunity to also nominate an employee for the Employee of Distinction Award.

 

The award presentation will take place at the 2023 Marketplace Networking Reception on March 27, 2023 in the evening at the Holiday Inn, Morgantown, PA. The deadline to nominate is January 31, 2023. Get more information and start the nomination process.

The 2023 Marketplace will be hosted by Pennsylvania's Americana Region at the Holiday Inn in Morgantown in Morgantown, PA on Tuesday, March 28. The seminar, reception and setup will occur the day before, Monday March 27.


Some important deadlines are right around the corner!


  • January 31, 2023 - Last day for Operators to schedule a FAM Tour.
  • February 15, 2023 - Registration and Sponsorship opportunity deadline. (for guaranteed placement on floor and the Marketplace Directory).
  • March 21, 2023 - Holiday Inn Morgantown hotel overnight room deadline.

2023 PBA’s 100th Anniversary Family Day is June 10, 2023

We are excited to announce the date for our 2023 PBA’s 100th Anniversary Family Day on June 10, 2023 at the Museum of Bus Transportation in Hershey, during their Annual Spring Fling. Save the date!


If PBA members want to drive a bus to the event, we will need to give the AACA a bus count in April, so we are assured a designated parking area large enough. Please let Pattie know if you want to bring a bus. Thank you!
