The PBA Driver & Employee of Distinction Awards was developed to honor members' drivers and employees who have demonstrated an exceptional performance record and service to their employer.
NEW! We are inviting our Travel Supplier and Associate Members the opportunity to also nominate an employee for the Employee of Distinction Award.
The award presentation will take place at the 2023 Marketplace Networking Reception on March 27, 2023 in the evening at the Holiday Inn, Morgantown, PA. The deadline to nominate is January 31, 2023. Get more information and start the nomination process.

We are excited to announce the date for our 2023 PBA’s 100th Anniversary Family Day on June 10, 2023 at the Museum of Bus Transportation in Hershey, during their Annual Spring Fling. Save the date!
If PBA members want to drive a bus to the event, we will need to give the AACA a bus count in April, so we are assured a designated parking area large enough. Please let Pattie know if you want to bring a bus. Thank you!

PBA Chairwoman, Tammy Wolf-Baker Comments on Conestoga Tours Closing
In Pennsylvania, there is a shortage of buses on the road, according to Tammy Wolf-Baker, Pennsylvania Bus Association chairwoman and co-owner of York County-based Wolf’s Bus Lines. Some companies that survived the pandemic are unable to operate their full fleets because they do not have the drivers, mechanics and parts, she said.
Wolf-Baker, who also plans tours, said that tour operators face other challenges – rising costs for hotels, meals and attractions.
“Pricing has gone up, and that’s what we’re all faced with,” Wolf-Baker said. Read more...

CVSA Releases 2022 Operation Safe Driver Week Results
During this year’s Operation Safe Driver Week, which was July 10-16, officers in Canada and the U.S. pulled over more than 35,000 commercial motor vehicles and passenger vehicles and issued 26,164 warnings and citations to commercial motor vehicle drivers and passenger vehicle drivers engaging in unsafe driving behaviors, ranging from speeding to distracted driving.
