“January Giallo was originated by Cinematic Void (the ‘genre film’ arm of the American Cinematheque in L.A.), and became an annual tradition of showing ‘giallo’ films -- Italian crime/mystery/horror films from the 60s and 70s, usually featuring sharp knives, black gloves, paint-red blood, bright colors, and experimental musical choices. ‘January Giallo’ has now expanded and this year includes 8 theaters across the country; Anomaly has brought the series to The Little!”

“Knife + Heart represents a newer twist on the giallo formula: a more recent title (2018), the film features a leather-clad masked killer on a gay porn set, a score by electronic musicians M83, and stands proudly queer in its characters, plot, and filmmakers. A selection of the Cannes Film Festival, a New York Times critic pick, and certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Screening one-night-only at The Little, on 35mm film! Themed punch, free buttons, and a bloody good time.”
