It's a Once in a Lifetime Opportunity,

Fieldstone Show Park

Now Accepting Offers for Purchase

Halifax, MA - May 29, 2013 - Thirty-three years ago, Scott Clawson purchased 12 acres of land in Halifax, Massachusetts. With passion and love for horses in his blood, he began to conceptualize the epitome of horse shows, and soon the Fieldstone Show Park was reality. Now resting on 106 acres of land, the Fieldstone Show Park fulfills a niche in the equestrian world, providing a hunter/jumper facility where the top 'A' rated shows in the nation can take place amidst the its urban surroundings. The time has come for Clawson to enter retirement, and his brainchild is now the talk of the equestrian community as it hits the market.

In 1980, Clawson purchased 12 acres of land where he built a house and barn that could rival the most beautiful estates. In another couple of years, his 12 acres grew into 42, and in the following decade he acquired 106 acres of solitude. Twenty-seven years ago, the Fieldstone Show Park opened its gates as a public horse show facility, soon welcoming competitors to the highly elite competition that has earned a reputation in the North East.

What began as a one-day horse show has grown into a premiere showing facility. The land hosts five show rings, five warm-up rings, as well as an astounding all-grass Grand Prix field. As someone who grew up riding Quarter Horses, and showing them throughout the circuit, Clawson knew what New England needed, and with hard work and determination he made the Fieldstone Show Park what it is today.

"I built the house and the barn, and there was just a need for the horse show grounds in the mid 80's," Clawson recollected. "People would have horse shows in a field or someone's backyard, and that is how it originally got started."

Clawson continued, "There are hardly any show grounds around, even to this day. The shows took off and started growing and growing, but as time has continued, I have realized the true need for and demand for quality and high-end horse shows. I have given Fieldstone everything I have, but it is time for someone else to have a fresh take, and continue its improvements. There is no doubt that this could be a destination show facility."

The Fieldstone Show Park is an owner's dream. With five 'A' rated show dates and multiple one days, five show rings, a Grand Prix field, 74 temporary-permanent stalls, 28 stalls in the main barn and 8 stalls in the side barn, Fieldstone is perfectly designed to become the premiere show ground for New England. The Indoor Arena is a 100x180 foot steel structure, and is visible from the beautifully designed sprawling home, with attached garages and workshops. The entire property is totally irrigated with drainage systems underground, and each ring has state-of-the-art GGT all weather felt footing.

The home features manicured landscaping, a large pool, waterfalls, and is surrounded by stonewalls, and has a four car garage with a wood shop and mechanic shop. All of the equipment, as well as seven courses worth of fences, are included with the purchase. The facility offers a sense of privacy with surrounding wildlife, fishing and game land. A haven set away from the metropolis in a secluded area.

In 2012, Clawson began to make his most ambitious improvements throughout the facility, adding 700 feet of stonewalls that give the Grand Prix field a European feel, elevating the entire span of spectator viewing surrounding the Grand Prix Field. There is so much you don't see like drainage, power, irrigation capacity but there is a million dollars worth of critical infrastructure that make this the true show park it is. Although he has more improvements planned for the fall, he admitted that he believes a new take would make Fieldstone become even more of a premiere facility.

"I think building and accomplishing what I have been able to create is my favorite part," Clawson concluded. "You step back, and you are able to see how nice it looks, and how well it works. It is an amazing feeling to know that you built something of such importance to the industry, but it is time that I move on and turn the grounds over to someone who is going to take it to a whole new level of international scale."

The Fieldstone Show Park offers the opportunity to explore Boston and Cape Cod, as well as taking a short drive to the Plymouth waterfront to where exhibitors can experience whale watches and visit historic Plimouth Plantation and The Mayflower.
