2023 IEEE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON
ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY, SIGNAL & POWER INTEGRITY
|
|
I want to thank everyone that attended the 2023 IEEE International Symposium on EMC+SIPI in Grand Rapids earlier this month. We had a great turnout, and the week was packed with technical activities that included a record number of Workshops and Tutorials on emerging topics and fundamentals, technical sessions that covered the latest in EMC and SIPI research in different fronts, Ask The Expert panels that included contemporary topics such as “ML/AI in EMC and SIPI” and “EMC Challenges of Automotive Electrification” - to mention a few - plus 20 live Experiments and Demonstrations!
The social program included the Welcome Reception, Gala Dinner, Young Professional Networking events, Women in Engineering event, etc.. In the exhibit hall, we had a great opportunity to interact with our exhibitors and see the latest EMC and SIPI products and services. We also got together to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our peers at the annual Awards Luncheon. It was a busy week, but a week that was very enjoyable as we reconnected with our professional colleagues and personal friends after a year of being apart.
The city of Grand Rapids was a delightful mix of old and new, with modern structures connected to historical buildings. The DeVos Place Convention Center, situated along the Grand River, was scenic and we couldn’t have asked for nicer weather during our Symposium. The two Technical Tours to Grand Valley State University/E3 Compliance and Intertek were informative and enjoyable. In addition, attendees and companions were able to enjoy the excellent restaurants and microbreweries within walking distance of the Convention Center while our companions visited many museums and parks.
It was a wonderful week of education and entertainment. It’s always a little bittersweet when the Symposium ends, as we will miss all of our friends. But we are invigorated to start the planning for the EMC+SIPI 2024 Symposium.
We truly hope you are all saving the dates of August 5 – 9, 2024 to join us in Phoenix, Arizona.
