Recycling collection updates

Georgina’s recycling program has transitioned to a provincial system managed by Circular Materials. Bi-weekly recycling collection is now underway, with recycling and garbage collected on opposite weeks. Green bins will continue to be collected weekly.

For collection using the new carts, remember to:

  • Set your recycling cart with wheels facing your house and the lid opening to the street
  • Recycling carts must have at least one metre (three feet) of clearance on all sides, keeping them away from green bins, fences or vehicles
  • Place carts on a flat surface, clear of snow and ice
  • Do not place recycling carts on the road

If the standard 360-litre cart does not meet your recycling needs, you can request an exchange for a smaller cart by completing the Recycling Cart Exchange Request Form. Only one cart exchange is permitted per address. The form can be found at circularmaterials.ca/georgina. For questions or concerns, contact Circular Materials at CustomerService@CircularMaterials.ca or 1-833-779-4351.

  • Sutton Arena: Northeast corner of the lot at Hawkins and Fairpark Lane
